The Legends of Michiana documentary series focuses on people and organizations that have been influential to the growth and development of the Michiana area. PBS Michiana’s latest installment in our Legends of Michiana series features Don and Joan Lyons. Don and Joan are owners of Lyons Industries, a bath fixture manufacturer. Don is also the mayor of Dowagiac, MI, and he and Joan are owners of the Heddon Museum (a collection of historical artifacts from the Heddon Bait and Tackle Company). Since his early years, Don has also been a restorer of cars, race cars, trucks and vehicles. Together, Joan and Don have given back to the community, personally and professionally, and have been involved in numerous philanthropic ventures.
