Birding is one of the favorite hobbies of those that love to explore nature. Evie had a chance to catch up with June Kohler who describes herself an "Ordinary Birder", but she has an extraordinary goal to explore all the sites on the Indiana Birding Trail. She'll share about some of the experiences she's had so far as she and Evie explores St. Patrick's County Park, which is one of the stops on the trail.

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) was an ambitious employment and infrastructure program created by President Roosevelt in 1935 putting people to work all over the country. There are many examples of the work done in St. Joseph County still around in area parks and Evie was at Kernan Park to meet up with Gary Harrington, the Property Manager and Naturalist at Rum Village Park. They talked about how these projects came about and how they still bring beauty to many of our recreation areas. #OutdoorElements
