The Michiana Event Center is only about a year and a half old and it's bringing all kinds of shows to the Shipshewana area. St. Joseph Michigan is a great place to visit for shopping or to hit the beach in the summer, but it's also full of activity in the winter.

"The Christmas Tree Ship" is a musical based on a true story that was created just for the Blue Gate Theatre and it will be on stage until January 4th. Kelly had a chance to find out about this new entertainment space as well as a great show that will be there December 13th thru the 21st called "Majestic Noel". It's a great show that features all kinds of performers including a wide variety of animals. There's even an option for VIP treatment with an amish made meal, and a chance to meet the performers. There's a "Lighting of the Bluff" where all the wonderful Christmas lights will be turned on by the Mayor. Following that head to the downtown for "Window Wonderland", where many of the shops will have special window decorations that you can view and vote on. On the 7th there's the 21st Annual Reindog Holiday Parade that will feature pets and pet owners dress up in holiday costumes. After the parade, children can give Santa their Christmas lists as he will be in Santa's house on the corner of State and Pleasant Streets.
