Winter at Potawatomi Zoo is a different experience as some of the animals are more active during the colder weather. Winter Days are your chance to experience those animals. Executive Director Josh Sisk introduced Courtney to one of the Zoo favorites the Red Pandas. They are very active during the winter. If you are a gardener or interested in learning about prepping for the gardening season, the Unity Gardens is offering a series of classes full of information to help. They will have in person and virtual classes at their welcome center and classes at a number of library locations. Sara and Mitch shared all the information about the classes with Kelsy and Mitch shared a few tips on planting seeds. Classes go through the middle of March. Civil Rights Heritage CenterGeorge Garner More Information

The Civil Rights Heritage Center is offering a chance to look at the life and works of August Wilson with a showing of "August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand". It will be in person only on Tuesday, February 1st @ 6:00pm. August Wilson's work is being highlighted also on stage by the South Bend Civic Theatre, so this will be a great chance to learn about the man behind the shows. The Poetry Den is also a regular feature at the Civil Rights Heritage Center and the next one is February 27th. While they've taken a month off you have a chance to watch past Poetry Dens on YouTube. Just search for the Civil Rights Heritage Center.
