I hope you caught our first show of the new season. If not, remember you can watch them anytime here.
Our team sure enjoyed being back in the studio and we’re excited about the many stories we have to share going forward. Like what you see, tell your friends, we’d love for more people to be up to date on what’s happening here in the region.
I hope you’ll enjoy this week’s edition. We’re going to introduce you to a new resource for small businesses as we talk about Project Impact and the new West Side Business Resource Center in South Bend. James Summers from Michiana SCORE, Mike Plenzler from PNC Bank, and Michael Falker from the Northern Indiana Business Journal joined me in the studio where we got a chance to talk all about it.
We sent my co-host George Lepeniotis out into the field for the official opening of the Center. We wanted you to have a first hand look at the Center and we wanted to introduce you to Austin Gammage from the City of South Bend. Austin is a rising star in the economic development world and is doing some exciting things to help grow South Bend.
Though the center is focused currently on South Bend’s West side, we think it’s a great model that could be replicated in other communities across the region. And resources like SCORE are available, for free, to businesses across the region. Thinking about starting a business or need help growing your business, you can connect with SCORE here or the Northern Indiana Small Business Development Center (NISBDC). Both resources are FREE!
Small businesses are the engines that drive the regional economy. Now there is a new tool to help those businesses, and we’re excited to introduce you to it on Economic Outlook. Enjoy the Show!
