Episode: #924
Airdate: Thursday, April 5, 2007 @ 8:00pm

Tony Sanfilippo
Palermo’s

One of our favorite Italian friends is back and he is preparing another dish for Open Studio! Tony will be making a meal that you can eat for Lent, Shrimp Scampi with Pesto and Almond Sauce. As a bonus, he will also be preparing Saccotino. Both dishes are, as Tony always says, “like mama used to make.” Stop by Palermo’s and experience the food for yourself!

Elizabeth Coyne
Artist

She has been painting for 25 years and fell in love with the idea as a way to express herself. Elizabeth describes her artwork as “abstract representationalism” and works on a fairly big scale. You can see Elizabeth’s art pieces in person at her art opening on April 14 at the Blue Gallery in Three Oaks, Michigan.

Harmonica Buzz with special guest Jacob Clyde

We have featured these two guys before and decided to bring them back for two more songs. With the sounds of harmonica, acoustic guitar and a blend of vocals, they will be starting with the upbeat song, “The Black and White.” They will be wrapping up the show with a slower tune, “I Need An Angel.”

Erin Jackson
Photographer

Our next guest has complied a documentary-style book about Gary, Indiana with pictures she has taken from around the city. Erin, who recently got her degree in photography, says that taking pictures is the only art form where you can freeze time and capture a moment as it happens. You can see some of her work on display at the South Bend Regional Museum of Art as part of the African American Arts Association exhibit.
