The two books that will be recommended this week on our Forever Books review deal with WWII.  Robin recommends, Fire in the Blood by Irene Nemirovsky.  This novel deals with doubtful morals, a story of murder, love and betrayal in rural France.  Diana’s recommendation is by author, Diane Ackerman.  The Zookeeper’s Wife: A War Story is based on a true story of a husband and wife who hid Jewish refugees and Polish resistors at the destroyed Warsaw zoo.  Check out these two books today!

We will be in the studio kitchen with Mike Petrucelli from the South Bend Tribune.  He tells the home audience the five things that should be kept in their kitchen cupboards year round.  Mike also gives us ideas on how to prepare each item.

Fabian Enrique, a student from Ball State University who is studying to be an Elementary teacher, will perform our music tonight.  Besides being a student, Fabian is a singer/songwriter who writes songs about events that have happened to him since turning 18.  The song he will be performing on acoustic guitar is entitled, “Well, I Know”.

We end our show with a trip to Michigan City to Lange’s Meat Market.  A family owned and operated business where people come for their mouth-watering beef jerky.  Everyone gets the chance to sample before they buy.  Stop in and say hello to Pete!
